Matt Tait was the original source of a document used by Shane Harris to write a piece about Peter W. Smith shortly after his death. Nobody, not even other journalists or editors at the Wall Street Journal have seen this document. Evidence has now come to light that would seem to indicate Matt Tait used a shell company to represent himself as a cyber security expert and CEO of Capital Alpha Security in the UK. I called Shane earlier today to discuss this evidence and was surprised by his reaction.
