Ghost Town NYC – Why is the FBI Involved in the Charlie Kirk Assassination Investigation?

Charlie Kirk was not a fedearl employee. Murder in the state of Utah is a state crime. No state lines were crossed, no federal cirmes were committed. So why is the FBI involved in the Charlie Kirk investigation at all?
